All Nissan vehicles of the current and previous six (6) model years are eligible for Pre-Owned Preferred service agreements provided the vehicles have not been in service more than 55 months or 60,000 miles, whichever is greater. The available time and mileage coverage for each term is calculated similarly to a warranty, with specified expiration times and mileages, regardless of the current age and mileage of your vehicle.
For example, if your vehicle is 40 months old and as 45,000 miles on its odometer, then under a 72 month / 84,000-mile term, you would be purchasing coverage for 32 months / 39,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Nissan is now requiring all vehicles to have a vehicle inspection completed prior to issuing coverage on your vehicle. (We will not require an inspection on a vehicle if it's under 12,000 miles or has been in service less than 12 months.) Click Here for the Inspection Form
Why is this important?
If you were to purchase a Security+Plus plan without and did not have the vehicle inspection complete the follow can happen. Let's say you were to have a claim 60 days from the date you purchased your Security+Plus plan; any claim within 90 days automatically gets flagged within Nissan's system and they are able to deny the claim and cancel the policy if all the supporting documentation isn't on file. Our Advice
The vehicle inspection isn't difficult to have completed, in fact it's quite simple. Here's a few things to keep in mind.
- If the during the inspection process, the Nissan Service Department finds things that need to be replaced, make sure they are replaced, under your existing factory warranty.
- Do not wait until your factory warranty is on the verge of expiring. If you were to have a failure during the first 90 days of coverage you may run the risk of having your policy cancelled by Nissan.
- Purchase the plan as soon as possible so that the vehicle has plenty of time under it's factory warranty.
- DO NOT purchase a Security+Plus plan without the inspection form.
We supply the required inspection form both via electronic file and also via UPS with your application information. All you need to do is contact a local Nissan dealer and arrange for the Service Department to look at your vehicle. It's not a difficult step and it'll portect you and your vehicle in the long run.
